NEW CHAPTER.
EXPERIENCED FIGHTER.

Steven Gurrola is making his professional boxing debut, but he’s bringing professional fighting experience into the ring.

With a background competing professionally in MMA, Team Boxing League, and Dirty Boxing, the Phoenix fighter now begins another chapter. On Saturday, October 24, Gurrola faces New Mexico’s Dwight Maters at High Stakes 2, presented by OV Promotions at Casino Del Sol’s AVA Amphitheater in Tucson.

The bout is scheduled for four rounds. Maters enters with a 1–0 professional boxing record, while Gurrola looks to earn his first victory in this format.

At 33, Gurrola brings experience adapting to different rules and competitive settings. Saturday’s challenge is to put that background and his boxing preparation to work against an opponent who already has a professional boxing win.

Old School Boxing is proud to stand behind Steven as he takes this next step. To his coaches, training partners, family, and friends—let’s get behind our guy.
